[1] Duties: The intern will assist the Marketing and Communications Department with a variety of hands-on projects designed to build practical experience in media, branding, and public outreach. Specific duties may include: • Writing and editing content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and the website. • Assisting with event planning, community outreach, and media coordination. • Conducting research on marketing trends, community engagement opportunities, and target audiences. • Supporting photo and video shoots, including organizing assets and helping with storyboards or captions. • Updating marketing materials and maintaining brand consistency across platforms. • Assisting with analytics tracking for campaigns, social media, and email performance. • Helping organize digital assets within the department’s shared drive or Digital Asset Management system. [2] Level/Type of Supervision Provided: The intern will work directly under the supervision of the Corporate Director of Marketing and Communications, receiving regular guidance, feedback, and mentorship. Day-to-day tasks may also be coordinated by senior team members such as the Public Relations Coordinator or Digital Media Specialist, depending on project scope. The intern will participate in weekly check-ins to review progress, learn new tools or skills, and receive ongoing professional development and support.
