The College of Communication and Information is in the midst of two major capital projects to help transform our spaces into a modern, welcoming environment with state-of-the-art classrooms and learning laboratories where students can learn side-by-side with industry professionals and award-winning faculty.
The University of Kentucky is well-represented on a list of the most-cited researchers in the world. In a database compiled by Stanford University in a partnership with Elsevier, 119 current UK scientists and scholars appear among the top 2% of the most-cited researchers across 22 disciplines.
After years of hard work and determination, Jasmin Keith will graduate from the University of Kentucky this Friday with a bachelor’s degree in information communication technology (ICT) from the College of Communication and Information.
KRNL Lifestyle and Fashion and the Kentucky Kernel won the most first-place awards in recent Kernel Media history for their work during the 2022-23 school year.
The University of Kentucky School of Journalism and Media, housed in the College of Communication and Information, hosted the annual Picture Kentucky Photojournalism Workshop on Oct. 11-14 in Frankfort, Kentucky.
On Oct.10, 2023, three guest speakers from across the globe shared their insights about integrated strategic communication, information communication technology and journalism, each focusing on the representation of either global perspectives or historically marginalized voices. 
Erin Rolfes, director of corporate communications and media relations for The Kroger Co., delivered the 2023 James C. Bowling Executive-in-Residence Lecture. the event marked the Bowling Lecture Series’ 24th anniversary.
On Oct. 13, CI alumna Celeste Warren (MAS/TEL, 1985) spoke to students, faculty and staff about her experiences in journalism, her work in corporate diversity, equity and inclusion and her journey from CI student to vice president of the Global Diversity and Inclusion Center of Excellence at Merck. 
Nominations for the 2024 Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame are being accepted now until Friday, Jan. 12, 2024.
