We would like to invite you to the first official social gathering of CI's new community-based, applied and participatory research group (CAPR), scheduled at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 at Kentucky Native Cafe. As a research group, we aim to promote CI collaboration and local partnerships to co-create knowledge, drive social change, attract and manage external funding, engage the public and support faculty and students' professional development.

At this first informal social gathering, you'll get to meet the groups' founders (Sarah Barriage, Shannon Crawford Barniskis, Daniela DiGiacomo, Fatima Espinoza Vasquez, Firaz Peer and Shannon Oltmann) and hear briefly about their research interests/projects-- no prerequisites for coming and no commitment requirements.

We hope you'll join us to learn more and consider joining CAPR!

Any questions, please reach out to Daniela DiGiacomo at (or any of the group!)
